Giving Trees to support Passages students

giving tree

We’re thrilled to have two Giving Trees this year, one to support Passages students in the midcoast, and one in Washington County.

Midcoast: The Unitarian Universalist Church at 345 Broadway in Rockland is kindly hosting a Giving Tree for our midcoast Passages students this holiday season.  The tree is full of gift ideas for our Passages students and their young children.

Stop by any Monday-Thursday between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm to select an ornament from the tree, and return anytime before December 20 to drop off your gift for a young family in need.

Washington County: In Washington County, the Passages Giving Tree is generously sponsored by The UMaine Machias Psychology and Community Studies Department, and Merrill Library.  The tree will be set up in the library until December 16.

This year, Wayfinder Schools is serving more than 80 Maine teens. More than 60 are teen parents enrolled in our Passages Program.

Thank you for supporting them this holiday season!

“People need to be energized, they need to be inspired, and they need to have their imaginations fired up.” – Sir Ken Robinson.Imagine an education system that values personal growth over test scores. Inquiry over mimicry. Passion over rankings. What if we decide that the purpose of school is not the transmission of facts or formulas, but the transformation of every student?

Meet the schools that are daring to reimagine education. And making it happen.
