Passages student Kaila Gagnon (L) and her teacher Heather King (R) at The Maine Women’s Fund annual Leadership Luncheon on May 23.  The Passages Program is a proud recipient of a Maine Women’s Fund 2013 grant.

Passages student Kaila Gagnon  travelled to Portland on May 23 for the annual Maine Women’s Fund Leadership Luncheon, where she spoke in front of over 600 people about her experiences as a teen parent working toward her high school diploma.   She received a standing ovation for her speech which detailed her struggles in the public school system, her determination to finish high school while raising her daughter, and her ultimate success with The Passages Program for teen parents.  Kaila is scheduled to graduate on June 15 and we couldn’t be more proud!
