At Wayfinder Schools, students engage in learning that is self-directed, project-based, community-oriented, and student-centered.  We emphasize small class size and one-to-one instruction.  Working collaboratively with the teacher and staff, students design individualized learning plans, which aim to set clear and attainable goals.  Students are continually encouraged to explore personal interests and pursue their passions and dreams.  Classes are held Monday – Thursday from 1:30 to 4:30, with evening time set aside for homework and science labs.  On Fridays, classes are held from 9:00-4:30.  Each class utilizes hands-on approaches, project-based assessments, and group discussion.  We also teach through a social justice lens across the curriculum, promoting social and emotional awareness, positive identity, and community involvement.
