THIS WEEK 9/29-10/5

By Jenny

Tuesday, September 29th, 2015– Allie brought us to the Wilderness Trail at Aldermere Farm, where Justin works and where he also helped build the trail. Then we went to our career exploration sites. Ian’s back, so we had writing class and Field Science. We got to go outside for Field Science. After classes: Deborah, Marissa and I went to the library, while Allissa made American Chop Suey for dinner.  The next great thing on the menu tonight is Sugar Cookies, which Justin made.

Wednesday, September 30th, 2015– Got to go to the Penobscot YMCA today!! Another exciting thing that happened today is that we started our ASL class, Sarah taught us the alphabet! Then we had Shepard’s Pie, for like the third time this month. It was still delicious, and it’s really cool cause a different person made it each time. Also, we had a special furry visitor today, his name is Willie Nelson the dog. He’s so cute, and well behaved, and it’s always nice to have him around.

Thursday, October 1, 2015- So, our housemate, Rudy, came back for the day. However, he made the decision to try this
again next year, so he can work on his health. Everybody is really sad that he made that decision, but we’re happy that he’s going to be working on his health, because that’s more important. Also we all celebrated our newest classmate’s 17th birthday! Kathy made squash pie. We all thought it was pumpkin pie. Kathy also made homemade blueberry ice cream, and vanilla ice cream. We went to The YMCA again today, almost everyone got in the pool. Even Tae, he’s getting some personal lessons on swimming, and he’s doing really well. All in all it was a really exciting day!

Friday, October 2, 2015- We had a movie night, and made some S’more Dip. We watched Mean Creek, which was AWESOME!! We also had to meet up with Ian to do our academic evaluations.

Saturday, October 3, 2015- We got to sleep in!!! Then we walked down to the harbor and went sailing, which was AMAZING!! We all got wet and were cold, and complaining, but it was really fun. Then we came back to school and had some tomato soup that tasted kind of like marinara sauce. Afterwards, we got to go apple picking. Then we had pizza for dinner, and we all got to watch Four Brothers, which turned out to be really good.

Sunday, October 4, 2015- We went for a really LONG hike, and buried a time capsule. We came back to school, and Brian got to hang out with his mom while the rest of us went and worked at the garden. Then we went to The Y. I helped Allissa cook pork chops, egg noodles, fried onions and peppers and salad for dinner. Later we are going to watch a documentary.
